The 007 of Art

A man from other times, a secret agent, a 007 who dedicated himself during World War 2 and afterwards to recovering works of art stolen from Italy by the Nazis. The film “Monuments Men” was partly based on Rodolfo Siviero.

He loved museums and art and was a knowledgeable collector. We’ll visit his private home where he spent his whole life together with his sister. We’ll discover his fascinating and complex personality along with his aesthetic tastes and his eclectic collections.

We’ll see contemporary works from De Chirico, Messina and other artists together with Roman sculptures and medieval and Etruscan objects.

This tour will take you to the Florence of the mid-1900’s where you will make the acquaintance of a Tuscan hero.
